A project funded by the Cooperative Travel customers to reduce water consumption in the landscaping and gardens of a selection of hotels and apartment complexes in Cyprus. Consultants put forward plans to redesign 5 hotel gardens with endemic plants and as a result of this project best practice guidelines have been produced for hotels.

The “Plastic Free Beach” idea is to organise a beach that encourages and facilitates its visitors to avoid the use of single-use plastic during their stay at the beach. The aim is to sensitize the visitors of the beach to reduce the use of single-use plastic by being a part of the solution and not the problem.

The “Bring your Cup” Project aims to engage and encourage the young generation to adopt a simple change in their daily life by using their own cup in local coffee shops. The project aims to create an interactive application to engage and inspire youth to take action towards the reduction of single-use plastic cups.

The Beachfluencer is an initiative of the KOSSPF Project that wants to create a network of passionate volunteers. ‘KOSSPF Beachfluencers’ with a presence on the beaches of our island. This way we will raise awareness for the issue of marine pollution with focus on plastic waste and create the understanding that we can all be part of the change.
