Support of young women graduates & students from the guiding tour and tourism sector through digital and educational tools to acquire valuable transferable skills and enhance their curricula to enter the working tourism sector.
The #WAST project aims to empower young women and youth in the tourism sector, by engaging them in training activities for creating unique sustainable and alternative tours, involving them in their cultural heritage and supporting them in learning new skills and competencies.
On 13 May 2023 was successfully held the game “Exploring Nicosia”. During the game was conducted to the Old Town of Nicosia with the participation of students in the tourism sector, the participants had to upload photos to the platform.
Sustainable tourism is the future. It was the title of the contest organized in May 2023 in Lublin for the students of tourism from Faculty of Earth Sciences and Spatial Management of the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin.
All hands on deck! The international partnership of the #WAST project had been established and partners from Italy, Ukraine, Greece, Cyprus and Poland met for the first time to discuss about the first important issues in the project.
At the beginning of September 2023, from 4th to 8th, 20 people from Poland, Cyprus, Greece, Ukraine and Italy met in Pianezza, a small town near Turin, Italy to take part in a training called #WAST Training Activity.
During the WAST training that took place in Torino in early September 2023, all the programme participants and partners had the opportunity to test the online platform created for the purposes of WAST.
On the 9th and 10th of February, the consortium had the second Transnational Meeting, in Thessaloniki, Greece. The partners discussed about the progress of project results and the upcoming activities of the project.
