what makes us different
The WAST Guide develops and reinforces tourism-related skills and the capacity of young women tourist guides to design and implement thematic alternative and sustainable tours. The WAST Guide includes learning topics and material that usually are not provided by Tourism Departments in tertiary education.
The digital map includes information for the different towns of Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Poland and Ukraine, as well as good practices for sustainable and alternative tourism. Our members are able to find useful tips for alternative tourism for each town/ country, such as information for food stations and gastronomy, sights, protected areas, thematic parks etc. The online map also includes information about legislation regarding sustainable tourism in each country, as well as different organizations that are active and support alternative tours and sustainable tourism in each country/town.
The Online Space Community of WAST project is a user-friendly and accessible online environment available for tourists interested in alternative and sustainable tourism and professionals. All the project results produced are available there. This online community gives the opportunity to young professionals to create new networks of collaboration between the partner countries with other various actors in sustainable and alternative tourism (organizations, individuals etc.) to promote their work.
